Northshore Christian Academy is a non-denominational Christian school located 27 miles north of Seattle, Washington. Responsibilities
· Deliver daily instruction to students and manage observations, evaluations, testing, reporting, conferencing, and record-keeping for each student.
· Plan, implement, and adapt curriculum to meet school-adopted learning objectives, ensuring all students achieve reasonable mastery through teaching, testing, and re-teaching as needed.
· Communicate regularly with parents regarding curriculum, classroom activities, and student progress.
· Maintain daily lesson plans in an accessible format for substitutes, including a current substitute file with schedules and seating arrangements.
· Supervise and guide educational assistants and/or volunteers in their classroom roles.
· Plan and conduct parent-teacher conferences and foster positive working relationships with staff and families.
· Participate in staff development, in-service training, preparation, and special programs according to the school calendar.
· Maintain an organized and engaging classroom environment, aligned with the educational process and current units or themes.
· Uphold classroom discipline and student management in accordance with school policies.
· Submit weekly lesson plans to the designated Principal.
· Follow school policies and procedures in administrative and educational matters as directed by the Principal, Head of School, and School Board.
Spiritual Leadership Requirements
· Born again Christian walking faithfully with God, has a personal testimony, and lives a consecrated life devoted to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
· Regular attendance and involvement in a local church
· Continual growth in maturity through daily prayer, Bible reading, witnessing to others, and leading a lifestyle of repentance and forgiveness
· Bears the Fruit of the Spirit in relationships and conduct
Qualifications
· Washington State Teacher Certificate (or other State Teaching Certificate) preferred
· ACSI Teaching Certificate (or willing to obtain an ACSI Certification within one year)
· 1-2 years of teaching experience preferred

· Proficiency in teaching and classroom management

· A deep passion for educational excellence
· Comfort and confidence in discussing God’s Word with students and colleagues
