The Commercial Project Manager (CPM) manages multifaceted construction of PV and BESS projects with a laser focus on safety, quality, schedule and financial metrics of ReVision Energy’s most complicated projects.  Typical projects are 50kW-1MWdc in size with project budgets of $100,000-$3 Million.  The CPM is the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholder teams to execute the projects successfully.    

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: 

Manage and direct project management activities, act as liaison between client, stakeholders, engineers, subcontractors, third-party construction managers and other consultants during the execution phase of a project 

Plan, execute, monitor, control, close out and complete PV projects   

Maintain an excellent understanding of all project contract agreements and requirements.   

Develop and manage project schedules, anticipate bottlenecks, and find opportunities to accelerate critical path items   

Coordinate with Commercial Construction Manager and Procurement team to ensure all materials required to maintain project budget, schedule and specifications are ordered and released appropriately 

Effectively coordinate all construction activities and schedules with multiple vendors and subcontractors to ensure alignment with project schedules and completion timeframe requirements.   

Schedule and attend project site walks with customers, subcontractors, and construction personnel  

Direct the daily and weekly schedules of the Site Supervisor to assure each project is recieving appropriate levels of oversight to assure safety, quality, schedule and budget expectations are met or exceeded  

Prepare look-ahead documents and weekly, monthly progress reports and billing information 

Assist in the preparation and submission of change orders 

Coordinate with O+M and SS team for QC inspections, comissioning and punch list completion items   

Preconstruction support: 

Work with estimating team and Commercial Construction Manager to develop project budgets and find cost savings opportunities without sacrificing safety, quality, or customer experience  

Coordinate design and permitting activities with the engineering team and local authorities, as needed 

Subcontractors: 

Ensure all subcontractors and suppliers meet or exceed the safety and quality standards of ReVision Energy 

Solicit and assess subcontractor qualifications and quotes 

Communication: 

Serve as a key point of contact for concise communications to the client, ReVision Energy management, and other key stakeholders 

Submit “Requests for Information” to clients 

Coordinate meetings, schedule updates, submit deliverables, and address outstanding open items as requested by clients 

Report regularly to management team 

Financials: 

Review and monitor job costs versus budgets 

Work to find cost savings opportunities without sacrificing safety, quality, or customer experience  

Assist construction personnel throughout the project lifecycle in tracking production and cost metrics 

Mentorship and team support: 

Provide coaching and mentorship to members of the project team who are newer to the project type, size or role, including ReVision co-owners and subcontractors 

Identify areas for improvement in project development, mobilization, construction and close-out; support efforts to implement changes 

Contribute to team training opportunities and team meetings by suggesting topics and sharing expertise and knowledge 

Other tasks as assigned

10+ years construction and project management experience; 

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degree 

PMP or CCM certification desired not required  

MA Electrical Licensure is desired  

Experience with site logistics, equipment deliveries and crane operations in dense, urban settings 

Effective at Contract negotiation and conflict resolution  

Ability to read and understand civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, etc. plans and specifications to include blueprints, proposals and other documents as they relate to electrical work 

High technical understanding of working with utilities and AHJ’s 

Working knowledge of Procore and Microsoft Office products 

Demonstrated decisiveness in resolving project issues, making decisions and identifying priorities 

Excellent teamwork, communication and people skills a must
