Responsibilities
- You will serve as an Agency receptionist and direct callers to the appropriate Division, Office, and/or program.
- You will greet and sign-in customers into the Kiosk system and direct them to the appropriate Division, Office, and/or program.
- You will receive documents and payments from walk-in customers and follow proper procedures.
- You will assist with both the initial and renewal licensing processes for assigned boards.
- You may open and distribute mail, scan documents, and perform other administrative and clerical duties in support of the Agency.
Position Duties
Minimum Qualifications
- A high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment. A bachelor’s degree may be substituted for the related work experience.
- MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: must be able to work the standard Agency work hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a one (1) hour lunch.
Preferred Qualifications
- A high school diploma and four (4) years’ of experience directly related to the area of employment.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Considerable knowledge and skill in the use of office equipment and computers.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of office management and general administrative functions.
- Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in interpreting and applying policies and procedures.
- Ability to understand and follow routine and complex instructions.
- Ability to exhibit professionalism and courtesy to internal and external customers.
Other Requirements
- Position works in an office environment with extended periods of sitting and standing.
- May require occasional work outside of normal office hours.
- May be required to lift, carry, move and/or position objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Daily filing, data entry, telephone and computer use.
