  • Work with the Production team to capture and post “Behind the Scenes” photos and videos.

Email Marketing:

  • Learn and manage WordFly to create and schedule weekly enewsletters and eBlasts.
  • Coordinate with the Development team to avoid over-communication to patrons.
  • Draft email content based on press releases or seasonal campaigns, ensuring proper approvals.

 Event & Media Sponsor Coordination:

  • Coordinate press interviews and on-site media visits.
  • Assist in updating website content, including homepage banners and event listings.
  • Proof and review summer festival ads for accuracy and brand alignment.
  • Support the distribution of promotional materials in Brevard, Hendersonville, Asheville, and surrounding counties.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Director to manage media sponsors and track promotional benefits.
  • Write and proof seasonal radio spots for distribution.
  • Coordinate event calendar listings across various platforms, including Explore Brevard, Visit NC, and Mountain Xpress.

Photography & Cataloging:

  • Organize and archive photography from events and performances, ensuring all images are properly tagged for future use.
  • Work with photographers to meet departmental needs for press, social media, and promotional materials.

 Audience Engagement:

  • Support the Box Office and other departments with marketing needs, including poster displays and ticketing website content expansion.
  • Collaborate with the Artistic and Production teams on CD sales, artist signings, and merchandise sales.

 Special Projects:

  • Assist in the creation of recruitment and development materials, including student testimonials and campaign assets.
  • Support special events such as Open Air Brevard and multimedia concert previews (if applicable).

Qualifications:

  • Current college student or recent graduate pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Arts Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram) and familiar with design tools such as Canva (Adobe Creative Suite is a plus).
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interest in performing arts and arts education is preferred.

Requirements:

  • Satisfactory background check.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Minimum three years of college experience.
  • List of references (no recommendation letters required).

Benefits include a competitive season stipend paid bi-weekly, full board and on-campus housing (shared rooms with another seasonal staff member), and complimentary concert attendance with staff ID.
