Job Description
 
Position Purpose:  We are hiring a PRN/Part-Time Pharmacist to serve as coverage support for our primary pharmacist during time off. This flexible role is perfect for a licensed pharmacist seeking supplemental hours while contributing to a mission-driven, patient-centered health center.


Responsibility, Skills, and Difficulty of Work:          

  • Assists with recognizing the needs and concerns of people within their cultural framework, and maintains constructive relationships in dealing with them
  • Understands the Riggs CHC’s relationship with the community and maintains positive image and relationships
  • Self-motivation
  • Interprets Riggs CHC’s services and policies to patients and families as appropriate.
  • Works independently in the absence of supervision
  • Self-motivated and flexible to daily schedule and/or center needs
  • Deals with public and staff, both in person and over the telephone, in tactful and professional manner.

Education & Qualifications:          

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in pharmacy from an accredited institution
  • Three (3) or more years of relatable pharmacy experience
  • Must be licensed as a registered pharmacist with an unrestricted license in the state of employment 
  • At least one (1) year of related pharmacy management experience, preferred
  • Ability to work scheduled hours, including weekends and evenings if required
  • Clean criminal record – with no felonies
  • Current CPR certification preferred
  • Ability to read and transcribe pharmaceutical information
  • Strong assessment and multi-tasking skills required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Satisfactory completion of medication course.
  • Bilingual especially in Spanish is preferred.
  • Pharmacy management software and computer competency required.
