About the role
The Project Manager is responsible for supporting the business in developing & executing the long-term strategy to achieve sales and margin growth goals on individual categories through managing the scope and goals of the project, work plans, product launch timelines and implementation strategies. Plan and manage multiple related projects including, cost/benefit analysis, estimation of budgets, timelines, and resources required for successful and timely completion of projects.
Your responsibilities
- Lead project teams to develop and launch new product initiatives.
- Manage cross functional teams (marketing, trade, quality, R&D, manufacturing, procurement, legal, packaging, logistics, etc.) to launch new products as well as modify existing products as per the agreed launch date
- Establish project scope, timelines and coordinate all activities associated with new product development and product change from inception through project completion.
- Lead Supply feasibility assessments for NPD/EPDs, coordinating activities with Marketing, Procurement and factories to determine sourcing options, preliminary COGs, CAPEX and project timelines.
- Proactively evaluate risks and have mitigation strategies to overcome the challenges, ensuring timely launches
- Ensure COGS benchmarks are available based on other sourcing locations or similar products during early feasibility. Routinely update COGs/CAPEX assumptions as the project progresses through the innovation stage-gates.
- Ensure the necessary stakeholders have visibility of project timelines and drive key Supply milestones to ensure the project is delivered on-time.
- Support local single market NPDs/EPDs that are endorsed by the Global Category Team.
- Provide Supply input and act as supply representative in discussions relating to all projects under the assigned portfolio
- Provide business-focused manufacturing support, analysis, and coordination for tactical issues.
The experience we're looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field; PMP certification is a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in project management, preferably in consumer goods, manufacturing, or pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams, including marketing, procurement, logistics, R&D, and manufacturing.
- Proficiency in project management tools.
