    Job Title: Elementary Secretary

    Primary Role
    The Elementary Secretary supports school operations by managing finances, attendance, enrollment, and clerical responsibilities. This role serves as the primary office contact for families and visitors, coordinates substitutes, and provides basic health support when needed. The Secretary also assists with school events, fundraising, and communication while ensuring compliance with financial and attendance reporting. By maintaining professionalism, organization, and strong communication, the Elementary Secretary plays a key role in supporting students, staff, and families.

    Key Accountabilities
    Job Specific Responsibilities

    • Manage school financial tasks, including reconciliations, deposits, Gateway reporting, and FMS entries.
    • Oversee ordering and inventory of supplies to ensure staff and classrooms are supported.
    • Track student attendance and tardies
    • Responsible for ADM reporting.
    • Collect and process funds for device insurance, field trips, and school fundraising events.
    • Support substitute management, including sign-in, timesheet collection, and daily coordination.
    • Provide basic nursing support to students when needed.
    • Assist with new student enrollment and maintain accurate student records.

    • Serve as the first point of contact by answering phones, taking messages, and greeting visitors.
    • Monitor two-way and in-house radios during the day to support communication and safety.
    • Manage visitor check-in through the Safe Visitor system to maintain security.
    • Support administrators, teachers, and staff by distributing information and assisting with school event coordination.
