    Occupational Therapist - District - Special Education

    Position Summary

    Provide high-quality occupational therapy services, including assessment, program planning, and implementation of therapeutic interventions to support students' educational programs.

    Reports To

    Director and Assistant Director of Special Services, and Building Administrators

    Qualifications

    • Current Occupational Therapist License from the State of Maine (required)
    • Bachelor's degree with specific preparation in Occupational Therapy
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with students, staff, families, and community members

    Performance Responsibilities

    • Conduct assessments, screenings, and evaluations
    • Develop and implement educationally relevant therapeutic intervention goals
    • Maintain professional, efficient, and compliant documentation in accordance with state and district policies
    • Manage and maintain therapy equipment and inventory
    • Collaborate with staff, parents, students, and outside agencies as appropriate
    • Monitor and report student progress toward occupational therapy goals
    • Provide consultation to educational teams
    • Develop IEP goals and maintain required IEP documentation
    • Oversee the ordering and management of adaptive equipment

    Terms of Employment

    Salary, work year, and working conditions will be established by the RSU 57 School Board.

    Evaluation

    Performance will be evaluated in accordance with School Board policy.
