Job Description

Position ~ Summer Camp Childcare Staff 

Position Start Date: June 2026 (Camp runs from June 15th to August 21st)
Camp Hours: 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM (Flexible scheduling available)

Current Students - 15 years of age or older

Description:  Summer Camp Child Care Assistant - Part-time.

Job Summary:

Work as part of a site team in assisting with the supervision of children in attendance of the program.  Maintain a professional attitude and behavior in congruence with the philosophy of the program.  Provide a comfortable, relaxed environment where children feel safe and secure.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a current student in good academic standing
  • Must be at least 15 years old
  • Enjoys working with children and being a positive role model
  • Responsible, dependable, and professional
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Comfortable communicating with students, staff, and families
  • Interested in supporting the growth, interests, and development of school-age children
  • Previous experience working with children or in a school setting is a plus, but not required

Work Location:  Bates School

Scheduled Hours: Varies based on camp needs.
