Vector Fleet Management,an Amerit Fleet Solutions Company, is seeking an Service Writer to join our team in Washington, DC!

 

Compensation: Competitive Hourly Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday! Pay range: $19.00-23.00 per hour, depending on experience!

 

Shift: 1st shift M-F, 7:00am - 3:30pm

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Automotive Service Writers should have a minimum of two years’ experience
  • Must have the ability to effectively communicate customers’ needs both verbally and in the company FMIS system.
  • Must have experience coordinating directly with customer drivers and operator’s vehicles for equipment that requires service and repair
  • Must have computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word & Excel) and the ability to learn new FMIS systems.
  • Acceptable driving record and pass drug test and background check
  • Solid organizational and people skills

Working Conditions:

 

  • Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job.
  • Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noise.
  • Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants
  • Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
  • Ability to move and position heavy objects
  • Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles
  • Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
