About the Department
Chatham County Building Safety is seeking an Inspections Operations Coordinator to coordinate and supervise the Permitting Division of Building Safety and Regulator Services. If you meet the minimum qualifications, you are encouraged to apply.
Position Duties
- Plans, organizes, and directs the operations of the Permitting Division of Building Safety and Regulator Services, including supervising and training Division employees.
- Develops policies and procedures to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the Division and Department.
- Compiles and completes departmental financial reports.
- Collects, categorizes, and distributes statistical performance reports, and translates the data into budget planning documents.
- Manages the Divisional budget and submits the annual budget request.
- Oversees public service requests.
- Addresses citizen complaints, concerns, or requests to ensure a timely resolution and citizen satisfaction.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction, or a related field, and
- At least two (2) years of supervisory experience; or
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with permitting, zoning, and/or construction.
