POSITION SUMMARY:
The Field HR Generalist performs Human Resources related duties at the professional level and may carry out responsibilities in some or of the following functional areas: training, employee relations, and employee appreciation programs.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinates and provides training and presentations in a positive and professional manner for team members and management at stores;
  • Knowledge of best practices and experience in employment and labor relations;
  • Interprets, implements, and provides guidance and support in administering human resources policies and procedures to ensure that employees receive fair and reasonable treatment to establish a supportive work environment and to avoid potential legal liabilities;
  • Proactively identify opportunities and assess improvements to the employee experience and partner with the Management team to develop and implement innovative and lasting solutions;
  • Collaborate with Store Managers and Corporate Office to ensure locations receive communications, guidance, and support with regard to implementing and maintaining company practices and procedures;
  • Work on a variety of special projects and implementation of business unit and HR policies and programs;
  • Surveys and recommended revisions to HR policies for compliance efforts;
  • Coordinated and execute employee recognition programs, tenure, and service awards as needed;
  • Partner with HR Managers and HR Business Partners to ensure compliance and assist in resolving employee incidents and/or issues;
  • Ensures employee inquiries are answered and/or properly routed in a timely manner;
  • Ability to travel by air or car as necessary;
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
QUALIFICATIONS;

  • Bilingual (Spanish) required
  • A Bachelors degree in Business or related field is required. HR certification desired but not required.
  • This position requires 3-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience in a generalist capacity.
  • Must have diverse experience and proficiency in a wide number of functions within HR
  • Experience working with all levels of the organization with proven ability to interface well with all leadership levels.
  • Proven experience working in a fast paced environment with changing priorities
  • Team player with a strong client service orientation
  • Proven ability to take initiative and exercise excellent judgment
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), email and internet.
  • Knowledge of HRIS and leave administration required
  • Excellent customer service skills, strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to multi-task, learn, problem solve, prioritize, set and attain goals, and work independently.
