We’re looking for a Head of Controlling Operations to lead a team that partners with Business Finance (Group Controlling) and Local Controlling, while fully owning the execution of controlling processes according to the highest standards.

This is your chance to shape the future of Controlling by redefining processes, enhancing insights, and influencing strategic direction.

About the Job

  • Lead and develop a team of 30 FTEs across several locations, including team managers, in alignment with the Business Finance Leadership (matrix organization), and provide support to Business Finance (Group Controlling), Local Controlling, and Commercial Controlling.
  • Lead the Global Business Services Controlling team development and performance management.
  • Ensure operational coverage and business continuity at all times.
  • Own the Global Business Services Controlling standard operating procedures and be responsible for enhancing these processes. Support the future streamlining of Global Business Services Controlling processes (both group and local).
  • Lead and own the financial standard reporting as part of the reporting cycle.
  • Own projects that transform the organization toward financial reporting and steering harmonization, and drive the digitalization of financial reporting.
  • Supervise the integrity of the financial settings concept and its implementation across all reporting applications.
  • Contribute to strengthening, streamlining, and advancing the process groups (according to Hackett benchmarking): Annual Planning, Business Analysis, Business Performance Reporting, and Forecasting.

About You

We are looking for a unique and amazing talent, who brings along the following:

  • University degree (Master’s level) in Accounting, Controlling, Finance, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Controlling, ideally in an international and complex business environment.
  • Advanced analytical capabilities, including strong Business Intelligence knowledge and the ability to understand the big picture while diving into details when needed.
  • Proven transformation and change leadership experience, with an innovative mindset and the ability to drive new solutions, digitalization, and AI‑enabled improvements.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional initiatives in complex, international environments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across a virtual and networked organization.
  • Results‑driven, solution‑oriented, and highly independent, with strong ownership and accountability.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment, driving continuous improvement and challenging existing processes.
