Sales Manager Trainee

Develop into a future leader of L&M Corrugated!
L&M Corrugated Container is seeking a Sales Manager Trainee to develop into a future leader responsible for driving top-line revenue growth and leading our sales organization.
This position is designed for individuals with strong sales experience and leadership potential who want to grow into a member of our Executive Team.
Through a structured development program, the Sales Manager Trainee will gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of the business including sales, customer service, design, and production.

What You'll Do
Learn the Business & the Industry
  • Develop a deep understanding of L&M’s products, manufacturing processes, and customer applications
  • Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, Production, and Design teams
  • Learn pricing strategy, quoting processes, and cost structures
  • Analyze market trends and customer demand

Support Sales Growth
  • Assist with managing and developing customer accounts
  • Identify opportunities to expand business with existing customers
  • Participate in new business development efforts
  • Support forecasting and sales planning

Develop Leadership Skills
  • Work alongside company leadership to understand sales strategy
  • Observe and support sales team management and development
  • Learn how to set performance expectations and hold teams accountable
  • Assist with sales performance analysis and reporting

What We're Looking For
Experience
  • 3–5+ years of sales experience (manufacturing or B2B preferred)
  • Demonstrated success managing customer relationships
  • Leadership potential and interest in managing a sales team

Skills
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Analytical mindset with interest in sales performance metrics

Education
  • High school diploma required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred
