Pay range: $30 - $35 per hour, based on experience

About the Job

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician III to join our GFS Chemicals family at our McKinley Avenue campus in Columbus, Ohio. This is a leadership role responsible for leading complex maintenance projects, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring optimal operation of all facility systems. The Maintenance Technician III performs a variety of maintenance duties to reduce and prevent equipment down time, help with equipment installations, maintain building facilities, and grounds upkeep. This role is responsible for performing preventative maintenance tasks as well as more complex maintenance and repair tasks with minimal supervision.

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for performing complex tasks to support maintenance operations
  • Independently troubleshoot and repair advanced mechanical and electrical systems
  • Work with Maintenance Planner to oversee execution of maintenance projects and upgrades
  • Escalates personnel issues to Maintenance Manager
  • Train and mentor lower-level technicians
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintenance standards
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to improve system reliability 
  • Support on-site contractors

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate, Bachelor's Degree, or maintenance certification program, preferred
  • 5+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial or commercial setting 
  • Professional certification in one or more relevant technical areas is required (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical trades, boilers, etc.)
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Strong project management skills
