Human Resources Generalist / Recruiter (Full-Time)

In-Person | Primarily Monday–Friday | Occasional evenings/weekends & local travel

 

About the Role

We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist who brings a strong foundation in HR along with experience in recruiting and community outreach. 


This role combines day-to-day HR support with talent acquisition responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both relationship-building and operational HR work. You’ll support managers and employees across the organization while helping attract and retain top talent in our communities.

 

What You’ll Do

 

Recruiting & Outreach

  • Assist with full-cycle recruiting, including candidate sourcing, interview coordination, and hiring events
  • Build relationships with local schools, workforce programs, and community organizations
  • Partner with marketing on employment branding and social media efforts
  • Engage with active and passive candidates through outreach and follow-up
  • Help ensure a positive candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding
  • Track recruiting activity and assist with reporting metrics and trends

 

HR Generalist Responsibilities

  • Support your community and staff in key HR areas including:
  • Employee relations
  • Workplace safety
  • Benefits administration
  • Unemployment claims follow-up
  • Employment law compliance
  • Serve as a resource to employees and leadership, promoting a positive and respectful workplace
  • Assist in developing and supporting retention strategies
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and EEO requirements
  • Support HR projects, reporting, and departmental initiatives

 

Note: Responsibilities may evolve based on organizational needs.


What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Communications, or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience
  • 2–3+ years of experience in HR & recruiting experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and relationships
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Positive, team-oriented mindset with initiative and creativity
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (occasional local travel required)
