Shift: Monday through Friday 8am to 4pm

Job Status: Hourly/Non-Exempt
Compensation: up to $27.261/hour

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Supervising admissions department staff.
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining a system to oversee and track the department to ensure admissions objectives are reached.
  • Serving as the point of contact for all referring agencies.
  • Seeking out potential referral sources and coordinating services.
  • Providing treatment information to incoming individuals.
  • Overseeing all admissions paperwork and ensuring that all paperwork is completed and scanned into 1011 prior to client being offered a bed.
  • Ensuring that proper insurance or Medicaid is in place for Hope House to receive payment prior to admission.
  • Prioritizing admissions based on SAPT Block Grant criteria.
  • Planning and scheduling admissions.
  • Initiating contact between the Financial Case Manager and the incoming client/family by alerting the Financial Case Manager that a new client has a scheduled bed date.
  • Completing a screened but not admitted form for all individuals not admitted to the Hope House programs.
  • Collaborating with other treatment team members regarding clients.
  • Scheduling assessments both within and outside of the agency.
  • Assisting in the discharging procedure for both planned and unplanned discharges.
  • Assisting compliance officer with chart audits.
  • Assisting with medical records requests.
  • Overseeing post discharge follow-up.
  • Responsible for leading the creation of a centralized admissions process for Hope House residential programs as well as Home and Community Based Services.
  • Maintaining documents as per OASAS standards and Hope House policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining client confidentiality as per 42 C.F.R. Part 2 (Substance Abuse Records) and 45 C.F.R. Parts 160 &164 (HIPAA).
  • Being familiar with and adhering to current agency policies and procedure including the CASAC Canon of Ethics.
  • Other duties as assigned.
