Job Description

The Food & Beverage Supervisor serves as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors and positive guest relations. The candidate is responsible for prompt, friendly, and efficient service to guests in accordance with Marriott standards of food and beverage quality, presentation, and cleanliness. The Food & Beverage Supervisor is responsible for assisting in the leadership and supervision of all Bistro staff and daily functions.

• Maintain cleanliness of work areas including dry good storage, refrigerators and freezers
• Assist in training and coaching new team members
• Handle all guest service complaints and compliments in a professional and timely manner
• Input orders into cash register system and collect payment from guests
• Take guest orders, prepare food and beverage items, distribute prepackaged and prepared food items, and deliver orders to tables as needed
• Follow and ensure compliance with food safety and handling policies and procedures, such as product rotation, First In-First Out; dating labeling, cleaning and organizing coolers/freezers/storage areas across all food-related departments and areas
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers and facilitate fryer oil changes as needed
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company Food Safety Programs within assigned area of responsibility, as well as all local, state, and federal regulations
• Wash and disinfect kitchen area including tables, tools, knives, and equipment to ensure sanitary conditions and meet the departmental standards, including using sanitizers required by health department
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and food preparation checklist
• Dispenses appropriate levels of alcohol; prepares drinks to recipe and Company standards. Consistently checks guests’ identification and monitors guests’ consumption of alcoholic beverages to ensure compliance with state and local liquor laws.
• Assist in the set-up and closing of the Bistro using the provided checklists
• Assist in checking all fixtures, equipment and conditions (lights, heating/cooling, furniture, wallpaper, etc.) for proper operation. Report deficiencies to maintenance
• Participate in all mandatory job training and meetings
• Perform any other job duties as assigned

Range: $25.00 USD - $28.00 USD per hour
