Job Description

Job Title: Machine Operator  

Schedule: Monday – Thursday.  

Shift Hours: 5:00am – 3:30pm 

Pay Range: $19.00 - $22.00/hour DOE

Position Summary: 

The Machine Operator is responsible for preparing work orders by kitting necessary raw materials, operating production machinery, and ensuring that all parts produced meet specified quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare each work order by kitting all the necessary raw materials. 

  • Utilize cutting machines to achieve material final lengths and dimensions as specified. 

  • Operate production machinery in accordance with prints and specifications. 

  • Produce the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances. 

  • Measure finished parts with precision tools to ensure compliance with functional, quality, and cosmetic specifications. 

  • Maintain logs and records of units produced, including a record of errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces. 

  • Inspect equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment. 

  • Perform basic and routine adjustments and maintenance on machinery. 

  • Ensure correct parts are kept in appropriate quantities to support production and assembly requirements. 

  • Perform repetitive material supply functions following detailed work direction and guidelines. 

  • Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, including continuous quality improvement and safety objectives. 

  • Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
