Job Description

Summary: 
Reporting to the Director of Business Development, the Business Development Manager is responsible for leading and executing strategic growth initiatives, expanding market presence, and driving revenue within the Security Industry. This role oversees the full business development lifecycle, including market analysis, client acquisition, contract negotiation, and relationship management. The Business Development Manager plays a key leadership role by developing high-level strategies, mentoring team members, and collaborating cross-functionally to align organizational objectives with growth opportunities. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong business acumen, leadership capability, and a deep understanding of industry trends to effectively position the company’s services and solutions. This role also ensures high levels of client satisfaction while supporting company operational and system management standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive business development strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets within the Security Industry.
  • Build, manage, and strengthen long-term client relationships, serving as a primary point of contact for key accounts.
  • Oversee the full sales cycle, including lead generation, proposal development, presentations, and contract negotiations.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with operations, finance, HR, and other departments to ensure successful implementation of client solutions.
  • Utilize different platforms to track pipeline activity, forecast revenue, and report on performance metrics.
  • Prepare and deliver high-level presentations, proposals, and business cases to prospective clients and executive stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior business development staff, as applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and system management standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support organizational goals.

Client Relations Service:

  • Serve as an escalation point for complex client issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Maintain proactive and strategic communication with clients and company leadership regarding service performance and opportunities for improvement.
  • Foster client satisfaction and retention through consistent engagement and value delivery.

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of five (5) years of business development, sales, or related experience, preferably within the security industry.
  • Minimum of three (3) years in a leadership or senior-level role preferred.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets.
  • Strong strategic planning and execution skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in CRM systems such as Salesforce or similar platforms.
  • Excellent negotiation, contract management, and closing skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities to interpret market data and business trends.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentations.
  • Knowledge of security operations and industry standards.

Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Sit frequently, up to 8 hours per day.
  • Stand and walk intermittently throughout the workday.
  • Frequent computer usage, up to 8 hours per day.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to hear and respond to verbal communications in person and via phone.
  • Adequate vision to read printed materials, computer screens, and operate a vehicle.
  • Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, including varying weather conditions.
