LOCATION OF POSITION:  Fairport NY 14450; Eastern Monroe Career Center

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT:  10 Month Position, Full Time

STARTING DATE:  September 2026

SALARY RATE: $32,600-$51,021per school year (or higher depending on BUP negotiations)
*Actual salary is dependent upon education, experience and contract.

DUTIES:
1. Assist the teacher in providing instruction and supervision for high school students preparing for careers in Cosmetology.
2. Assist teacher in maintaining student records, such as discipline, attendance, and grades.
3. Assist teacher with practical operations by supervising students and managing practical activities.
4. Attend staff meetings and professional development activities.
5. Other duties as determined by the classroom teacher or building administrator.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. A current NYS Cosmetology license is required.
2. Three or more years of industry experience in Cosmetology.
3. Must have valid NYS Teaching Assistant certification or willingness to complete.
4. Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation).
