Job Description

Global Systems Engineering, LLC (GSE), an Intreped Partners company, is an SBA-certified HUBZone small business delivering high-impact technical and engineering solutions in support of federal missions. We are seeking a Medical Emergency Manager to provide direct support to Air Force Air Combat Command Medical Readiness, ensuring operational preparedness and mission continuity.


Responsibilities:


Responsibilities include preparing Base Program Element Code (PEC) 28036F budget requirements.  Assisting with the execution of MAJCOM and bases’ Installation Medical All Hazard Response (IMAHR) annual budget for PEC 28036F.  Managing bases’ IMAHR inventory to meet current mission requirements and project future sustainability needs.  Identifying gaps and recommending corrective actions to base MTFs pertaining to compliance with The Joint Commission emergency management standards. Assisting with unit deployment management programs, input to Medical Contingency Response Plans, Comprehensive Emergency Management Plans, Disease Containment Plans, and Installation Deployment Plans. Assisting with MAJCOM and bases’ Medical Readiness Decision Support System Unit Level Tracking and Reporting Application management and/or reports. Monitoring and assisting with medical exercise development, execution, and improvement planning.  Supporting analysis, programing, policy, guidance, reports, and research for all-hazards IAW AFI 41-106 and AFI 10-2519.



All personnel performing tasks related to this service shall meet the following minimum requirements:


Required Experience:


  • 7 years of experience in emergency management medical field and CBRN familiarity.
  • 7 years of DoD experience or similar senior-level expertise in strategic planning, social marketing, program development and evaluation.
  • 5 years of experience in accomplishing multi-tasks (work, organize, and time management) projects simultaneously.
  • 5 years of experience in current software programs: Microsoft Office to include Project, and Internet search browsers/tools.
  • 5 years of experience in medical CBRN response, the NIMS Hospital Incident Command System, and Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • Completion of the following Federal Emergency Management Agency Independent Study (IS) Courses within the past five (5) years:

            IS-100.c, Introduction to the Incident Command System

            IS-200.c, Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response

            IS-700.b, An Introduction of the National Incident Management System

            IS-800.c, National Response Framework an Introduction 


Preferred: 


  • At least 5 years of experience as an Air Force 4A0X in a Medical Readiness role.


Work Location:

Langley AFB, VA


Period of Performance:

Present to December 2026, with potential for extension


Salary Range:

$85,000 - $90,000
