Position Summary: Sheet Metal worker will be required to set up ladders and safety equipment according to OSHA guidelines. Worker will assist with set up of project materials and equipment required to do the job. This includes a variety of projects that vary from project to project as a sheet metal worker om work is not always the same application. From coping metal, gutters, downspouts, sub flashings, roof panels, wall panels, and custom metal.
The Blueprint for Success - Key Responsibilities:
- Load material via crane, or hand loaded to roof area.
- Cut and notch metal in accordance to measurements and angles.
- Layout of metal
- Field fabrication of miters, offsets, and variety of details.
- Work in powered scissor lifts, boom lifts, and scaffolding.
- Be able to use safety equipment properly for each job situation Physical Activities of this position.
- Climbing: Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, or ramps using legs, feet, hands, and arms.
- Balancing: maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, crouching, or climbing on narrow, slippery, or uneven surfaces.
- Stooping: Bending the body downward and forward by bending spine at waist. Full use of lower extremities and back muscles is required.
- Kneeling: Bending legs at the knee to rest on.
- Pushing/Pulling: Using upper extremities to exert force against something in order to draw, drag, disassemble, or haul an object in a sustained motion.
- Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to higher position or moving objects horizontally from one position to another.
- Hand Strength: Be able to use hands squeezing tools at a repetitive motion for 1/3 of the day depending on application.

Requirements
Tools for the Job:
Acquire tools for the trade
- Tool bags
- Tape measure, chalk line, tin snips, square, screwdriver, pry bar, and seamers. Work with safety in mind!
- Gloves, hard hat and safety glasses.
- Harness checked by foreman.
- Ropes inspected by foreman.
- Communicate issues with foreman.
- Drivers need to complete weekly Inspections, gas log, and track fleet cards.
- Cleaning of truck of debris and trash (show pride in company vehicles)

- Have adequate auditory function to hear instructions and verbal safety signals.

- Subject to extreme heat temperature may exceed 100 degrees.
- Subject to extreme cold temperature frost1 snow, and ice may be present on roof surfaces.
- Rain, snow, sleet, hail, damaging winds, and lighting r11ay occur on the roof at any time,
- Subject to varied heights on projects and roof edges,
- Subject to working around other trades that may come in contact with hazardous equipment or material.
