The Customer Success Engineer plays a critical role in supporting field Sales Engineers and our customers by managing standard quoting activities, improving responsiveness, and enabling sales teams to focus on customer relationships and growth opportunities while assuming ownership of defined transactional work that can be executed more efficiently through inside support.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Serve as a primary inside sales partner assigned regional sales representatives with dedicated focus on Wholesale and OEM-supported accounts.
  • Provide day‑to‑day sales support, including:
    • Standard Quoting
    • Quote follow‑up and proactive customer communication within defined service levels
    • End-to-end Order intake coordination in conjunction with the Customer Support Team, ensuring clean handoff.
    • Basic configuration guidance (within defined scope)
  • Act as a front‑end sales liaison between Sales, Customer Support, Pricing, and Operations focused on reducing cycle time and rework
  • Proactively manage:
    • Quote pipeline hygiene and follow‑up activities
    • Opportunity tracking and handoffs
    • Sales documentation and data accuracy
  • Support front end process improvements by identifying gaps, redundancies, and customer pain points
  • Participate in defining and refining:
    • Inside sales scope and standard work
    • Handoff protocols between Inside Sales, Field Sales, and Customer Support
    • Metrics used to evaluate pilot success
  • Occasional travel may be required to support customer relationship development, participate in key customer meetings, or provide interim coverage for Field Sales representatives as business needs dictate.
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism, responsiveness, and customer focus consistent with Lennox values

You’ll work in a fast‑paced, highly collaborative environment where priorities evolve as the pilot takes shape. This role offers the opportunity to directly influence how Inside Sales is defined for HRP moving forward.

Success in this role will require:

  • Comfort operating without a fully mature playbook
  • Willingness to provide feedback and help shape future-state processes
  • Strong partnership across Sales and Support functions
  • A customer‑first mindset with a focus on speed, accuracy, and clarity

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in inside sales, sales support, customer support, or related commercial roles
  • Experience supporting field sales teams in a B2B environment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
  • Proficiency with CRM and ERP systems (Salesforce and SAP experience preferred)
  • High attention to detail with strong follow‑through

Preferred Qualifications

  • HVAC/R or engineered‑to‑order product experience
  • Experience supporting pricing, quoting, or order management activities
  • Exposure to process improvement or pilot program participation
  • Comfort working across cross‑functional teams in a matrixed environment
