JOB SUMMARY

The Administrative Assistant – TXA serves as the customer care contact for Txalloy, Inc. customers at the Creedmoor or San Angelo location. This role serves as the customer advocate, resolving customer issues, assisting with basic billing questions, creating and distributing identification cash cards and other services, as needed.  


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Resolve customer issues, working with other departments when necessary. 
  2. Enter payments, update auto-payment information, and assist with basic billing questions.
  3. Create new accounts and update existing account information within database systems.
  4. Enter customer work orders.
  5. Answer incoming calls and perform outbound calls as needed.
  6. Assist inbound customers for Green Builder and Material Recovery Facility (MRF).
  7. Transfer calls and escalate calls to onsite supervisors as appropriate.
  8. Create and distribute identification cash cards for Txalloy, Inc. customers.
  9. Provide administrative support to employees and drivers.  
  10. Reconcile the petty cash and deposits drawer each day.
  11. Reconcile sales tickets for metal purchases.  
  12. Submit administrative, driver and sales reports by the required deadlines.
  13. Review and respond to personal voicemails and e-mails within a timely manner.
  14. Provide support to sales, operations staff, and other internal constituents.
  15. Provide backup support the Gatehouse as needed. 
  16. Attend department meetings.
  17. Other duties as assigned.


REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma
  • At least two years of customer service or call center experience
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite – i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Must have a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Strong customer service orientation

 

PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Solid waste background with facility management experience
  • Customer service or sales experience
