Description

The Interventionist provides targeted academic support to students who need additional instruction to meet grade-level expectations. Working collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and support staff, the Interventionist delivers research-based interventions, monitors student progress, and contributes to the overall success of the school’s intervention program. This role ensures that all students have the opportunity to achieve academic growth and mastery of learning objectives.


Compensation and Benefits

  • Full-time, Non-exempt

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with students in an educational setting
  • Knowledge of intervention strategies and research-based instructional practices
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to supporting student learning

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the direct supervisor to facilitate and implement the school’s intervention program.
  • Provide targeted instruction to small groups of students daily using research-based strategies and materials.
  • Push-in to classrooms to support students requiring additional assistance to meet lesson objectives.
  • Assist students in using software and materials associated with intervention programs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, interventions, and outcomes.
  • Attend professional development and training as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to enhance instructional strategies and classroom support.
  • Communicate effectively with administrators, teachers, parents, and other stakeholders regarding student needs and progress.
  • Follow school policies, procedures, and emergency protocols as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Represent the school professionally to the board, parents, and community.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team, assisting in the development and implementation of programs that support student learning.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including supervision responsibilities such as carpool, lunch, or recess.
