    Substitute Teacher Assistants

    Location: All District Schools

    Position Purpose              
    Offer support during a teacher assistant's absence and provide supervision as needed during daily lessons, routines, and activities.

    Rate of Pay              
    $114.33/day for the first 20 days if licensed as a teacher
    $127.72/day on day 21 and thereafter if licensed as a teacher
    $17.17/hr if licensed as a teacher assistant

    Qualifications Profile
    Current Illinois substitute (SUB) or short-term substitute (STS) license or Educator License with Stipulations (ELS) with a paraprofessional endorsement
    *SUB licenses require a Bachelor's degree or higher. STS licenses require an Associate's degree or 60 credit hours of college coursework, plus completion of a one-time, two-hour training course provided by the Regional Office of Education. Visit the Illinois State Board of Education website for more information about licensing.
