Job Description

IDS is seeking a Senior‑Level User Experience (UX) Designer to support the Analysis and Mitigation mission through UX design and front‑end development for Agentic Knowledge Management Systems. The designer will conduct user research, develop front‑end solutions, and maintain UX documentation to support integration with backend systems and mission workflows.


Key Duties

• Write and maintain front‑end code to implement UX designs
• Design and conduct user interviews, surveys, and usability tests to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement
• Develop front‑end components using modern web technologies
• Collaborate with backend developers to integrate front‑end code with existing backend services
• Ensure front‑end implementations meet performance, accessibility, and cross‑browser compatibility requirements
• Develop and maintain UX documentation including design guidelines, style guides, technical plans, milestones, and user guides


Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with eight (8) years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with six (6) years, or Doctoral degree with four (4) years
• Alternatively, Associate’s degree with ten (10) years of relevant experience, or high school diploma/GED with twelve (12) years of relevant experience
• Experience working in Agile development environments
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Experience with modern front‑end frameworks including React and Vue.js
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph


Compensation

• Salary range: $145,000 – $165,000
