Job Summary:

Join our team at Marvin and Betty Danto Health Care Center, a long-term care facility dedicated to providing quality health services, as a Dietary Aide. As a Dietary Aide, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents and patients by preparing delicious and nutritious meals, ensuring food safety and quality, and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare meals for regular and therapeutic diets according to the planned menu
• Utilize proper food handling and food safety techniques according to established policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulations
• Ensure food is served in an attractive, appetizing manner
• Label, date, and store food properly according to established policies
• Monitor and record refrigerator and freezer temperatures
• Maintain cleanliness and perform cleaning and infection control practices according to established policies
• Assist in receiving, storing, and verifying invoices for incoming food, supplies, etc.
• Maintain the security of the department
• Perform all duties using proper safety techniques
• Interact appropriately and in a positive manner with residents, families, and visitors

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in the food industry preferred
