Summary / Objective:
The Media Planner & Strategist is responsible for developing and executing full-funnel media strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and revenue for the Angel Guild. This role owns media strategy end-to-end: from audience research and channel selection, to purchasing and negotiating media, managing agency partners, and measuring campaign results against business goals. The ideal candidate brings both strategic thinking and hands-on media experience, and thrives in a fast-paced studio environment.
Summary / Objective:
We are seeking a Campaign Marketing Manager to serve as a strategic and operational leader on our theatrical release marketing efforts. This role sits at the intersection of high-level strategy and execution: you will partner directly with the Director of Performance Marketing to translate high-level vision into comprehensive, cross-channel campaign plans, then drive delivery across internal teams and external partners. The ideal candidate is equal parts strategic thinker and detail-obsessed executor with a genuine passion for bringing stories to theatrical audiences.

(Focus is on creating/building/testing/learning/resolution rather than getting stuck and identifying or placing blame).Essential Functions:Develop comprehensive media strategies from concept to execution, including audience research, channel selection, flighting, and budget allocationBuild strategies and campaigns that deepen fan connection, and identifying new growth levers - from traditional marketing funnels to innovative concepts like bonus content, easter eggs, and interactive experiencesResearch products, audiences, and competitive landscape to inform media planning decisions and spending recommendationsManage end-to-end campaign execution across digital, social, programmatic, OOH, CTV/OTT, streaming, print, and other paid channelsOversee and manage relationships with external media agencies, holding partners accountable to performance benchmarks and strategic goalsAnalyze campaign analytics and performance data; generate reports and optimization recommendations for leadership and stakeholdersIntegrate into existing marketing systems and tools to enhance workflows, reporting accuracy, and forecastingCollaborate cross-functionally with creative, digital, and brand teams to align media strategy with broader campaign objectivesManage media budgets across all campaigns, tracking spend before, during, and after each campaign to ensure proper use of funds and strong return on investment.Present executive-level media strategies and campaign recaps to senior leadership and internal stakeholdersStay current on emerging media platforms, tools, and industry trends to bring innovative tactics to the teamReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.

Spanish or Portuguese is a plus, but not requiredRequired Education and Experience:Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or a related field, or equivalent experience4+ years of experience in media planning, media strategy, or a related marketing roleProven track record building and executing multi-channel paid media campaigns from start to finishHands-on experience with media buying across digital, social, and traditional channelsExperience managing agency partnerships and campaign analyticsStrong proficiency in media analytics tools and platformsExperience managing media budgets and tracking spend against KPIsPreferred Education and Experience:5+ years of media strategy or media management experience, ideally within entertainment, studios, or streamingKnowledge of film, television, or digital content industries is strongly preferredExperience with programmatic advertising platforms and DSPsFamiliarity with agentic AI tools applied to media workflows, forecasting, or analyticsExperience with platforms such as Monday.com, Claude, Meta, Google, TikTok ad managersWork environment - When in the main office, expect a comfortable, air-conditioned work environment. Team members are issued their own desks, but the office is an open, shared space and can be fast-paced and occasionally noisy.
Physical demands - Will need to be able to sit or stand at a desk for extended periods of time.
Position type and expected hours of work - Regular full-time, 40 hours per week.
Travel required - Must be willing and able to travel out-of-state and internationally if needed.
Work authorization - Must be authorized to work in the United States.
