Now Hiring: Licensed 310T Lead Mechanic (Truck and Coach Technician)
MTS Canada has an opening for a working Lead Mechanic (310T Certificate of Qualification – Truck and Coach Technician) at our Windsor, ON terminal. This position oversees a 3-shift operation with standard day hours and a staff of 5–6 professional mechanics in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation for this position is as shown under the Union Wage Scale section below.

Requirements:
- 310T Mechanic Certification
- Knowledge and experience with the following engine systems:
- Cummins
- Detroit
- Knowledge of different tires & cost of maintaining tires on tractors and trailers
- Maintain and preserve proper inventory management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Responsibilities:
- Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services
- Identify warrantable repairs and document on repair order
- Maintain work area appearance and safety
- Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure that they are working properly.
- Perform duties with little or no supervision and in a timely and efficient manner
- Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper operating condition.
- Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery.
- Adjust and replace brake, tighten bolts and screws, and reassemble equipment.
Additional Qualifications:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Professionalism-in both employee management and customer service
- Transportation or automotive management experience a plus.
- Knowledge of compliance with Ontario health and safety requirements (OHSA) and commercial vehicle safety requirements (e.g., MTO/CVOR standards) is an asset.

Union Wage Scale:
Starting: $41.75/hour
After 1-Year: $42.75/hour
Note: The rates above reflect the union wage scale for this position. Any applicable shift premiums and overtime are paid in accordance with the collective agreement and applicable law.
