The Heavy Civil Construction Superintendent is responsible for overall field leadership of large-scale earthwork and site development projects throughout the United States. This role provides strategic oversight of multiple crews and subcontractors, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position requires extensive travel and deployment based on project location.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide full field oversight for large earthmoving and site development projects.
- Develop and execute project schedules in coordination with Project Managers.
- Oversee grading, mass excavation, utility installation, and site infrastructure operations.
- Lead Foremen and field teams to achieve productivity, safety, and quality targets.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies.
- Manage subcontractors and coordinate with engineers and inspectors.
- Monitor project budgets, production rates, and cost controls.
- Conduct regular progress meetings and provide leadership updates.
- Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence across project sites.
