Shell Recharge Solutions is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Golang
The ideal candidate is an integral part of a fast-paced development team, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer (Golang) to design, build, and optimize scalable backend systems. This hands-on individual contributor role is ideal for someone with strong expertise in Golang, microservices architecture, AWS, Kafka, system design, and distributed systems. You will work closely with product, architecture, and engineering teams to deliver high-performance, reliable, and future-ready solutions
Key Responsibilities
Design & Development
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance microservices using Golang.
- Build and optimize distributed backend applications for scalability, low latency, and resilience.
- Develop RESTful and gRPC APIs with clean architecture and high reliability.
- Work with product managers, architects, and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Ensure high code quality through best practices, code reviews, testing, and CI/CD pipelines
- Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering standards and design reviews
- Participate in system architecture discussions and technology evaluations
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, with strong hands-on experience in Golang.
- Strong experience in microservices architecture, service decomposition, and distributed system patterns.
- Experience in Apache Kafka or similar streaming platforms.
- Hands-on experience architecting cloud-native systems on AWS.
- Advanced understanding of system design, concurrency, multithreading, CAP theorem, caching strategies, and scalability.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills, performance optimization, and production debugging abilities.
- Solid knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB.
- Experience with cloud platform like AWS, Azure or GCP
- Proficiency with Git, code reviews, and Agile development practices
- Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).
- Exposure to distributed caching systems (Redis, Memcached).
- Experience with message queues like SQS or RabbitMQ.
- Knowledge of cloud architecture patterns (serverless, event sourcing, sidecar, API gateway patterns).
- Familiarity with gRPC and protobuf schema design.
- Understanding of security practices—IAM, VPC design, network security, secret management.
