Marine Construction Specialist – Install Custom Boat Hoist Systems

Job Overview

  • Job/Employment Type: Full Time.

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday (40+ hours/week).

The Opportunity

You will join a premier marine construction team specializing in permanent, custom-designed shoreline solutions across Michigan’s inland lakes. This role offers the unique chance to master a specialized trade while working outdoors on some of the region's most beautiful waterways. You will play a vital role in providing property owners with safe, high-quality access and moorage for their watercraft.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Execute the high-quality installation of permanent boat hoist systems and steel seawalls according to project specifications.

  • Collaborate with a dedicated field crew to maintain a safe and efficient job site environment near navigable waterways.

  • Maintain specialized tools and marine equipment to ensure peak performance and project longevity.

  • Solve real-time mechanical and logistical challenges on-site to keep projects moving forward on schedule.

  • Adapt to changing lake conditions and weather patterns while maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship.

  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure all custom-designed solutions meet the client's moorage needs.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Comfort working in, on, and directly around water is an absolute requirement for this role.

  • Strong work ethic and the ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Ability to work as a dedicated team player and lead by example in a physically demanding environment.

  • Self-motivated mindset with a proven ability to tackle hands-on technical challenges.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent educational background.

  • Experience in general mechanics, custom metal fabrication, or welding.

  • Background in mechanical engineering or technical trade training.

  • Prior project management experience (up to 3 years) for those interested in leadership tracks.
