The Certified Nursing Assistant performs delegated tasks and procedures of patient care, involving the physical, psychosocial, safety and security needs of the patients.
Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires.
Responsibilities
The Certified Nursing Assistant responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Provides personal patient care
- Assists at mealtime and records activities
- Provides oversight to patient safety issues
- Performs treatments including, catheter care, enema administration, preparation of sitz baths, compression application, and assisting in ambulating of patient
- Collects specimens and takes vital signs
- Assists inpatient admissions
- Provides appropriate care for post-op surgery patients
- Additional Hospice duties: Performs nutrition and skin care. Assists in treatments. Measures and records fluid intake and output.
The Certified Nursing Assistant reports to the Registered Nurse.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Oklahoma Certified Nursing Assistant or Longterm Care Certification required
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English (Verbal / Written)
- This job requires the incumbents to operate an INTEGRIS-owned vehicle OR personal vehicle (non INTEGRIS-owned) and therefore must have a current Driver's License from the state of residence, driving record which is acceptable to our insurance carrier and auto insurance verification (Home Health and Hospice only).
Home Health / Hospice Department:
- Oklahoma Long Term Care Aide and HH Aide Certification required.
