The Field Technician supports roadway and infrastructure projects by performing on-site testing, observations, and documentation to ensure construction activities meet project specifications, applicable standards, and safety requirements. This role is hands-on and field-focused, working closely with project teams to support quality construction outcomes.



Key Responsibilities





  • Perform on-site field testing and observations related to roadway construction activities, including earthwork, base, asphalt, concrete, and drainage components.




  • Collect, test, and document construction materials in accordance with project requirements and applicable standards.




  • Record daily field activities, test results, material quantities, and general site conditions in a clear and timely manner.




  • Identify nonconforming materials or construction practices and promptly report findings to supervisors or project engineers.




  • Coordinate with contractors, inspectors, and project staff to support resolution of field issues.




  • Follow established testing procedures, documentation protocols, and quality control practices.




  • Promote jobsite safety by complying with safety policies and reporting unsafe conditions or practices.




  • Maintain accurate field logs, test reports, and supporting documentation for project records.




  • Support project closeout activities by ensuring field documentation is complete and properly submitted.
