Wedding & Events Assistant



General Purpose: 



The Wedding & Events Assistant supports the planning, coordination, and execution of weddings and events at Purgatory Resort. This role assists with both behind-the-scenes preparation and on-site event execution, ensuring a seamless and high-quality experience for guests.

This is a dynamic, hands-on position that requires flexibility, strong organizational skills, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment. In addition to event support, this role may assist with marketing efforts, including social media updates and promotional content.



This is a seasonal position from May through September. Dates are subject to change based on the availability of the applicant and needs of the business. Event & Wedding Coordination




  • Assist with planning and execution of weddings and events from pre-event preparation through day-of coordination

  • Support site tours, rehearsals, ceremonies, and receptions

  • Act as vendor liaison before and during events

  • Assist in managing multiple events occurring simultaneously

  • Participate in event setup and breakdown (tables, chairs, décor, etc.)

  • Attend planning meetings to review event logistics and timelines



Operational & Administrative Support




  • Provide behind-the-scenes support including documentation, timelines, and coordination tasks

  • Support Wedding Sales and Group Sales teams as needed

  • Maintain knowledge of resort venues, lodging, and event offerings

  • Assist with general office tasks and seasonal projects



Marketing & Guest Experience Support




  • Assist with social media updates (Instagram, Facebook, etc.) including organic content creation

  • Capture event content (photos/videos) for marketing use when appropriate

  • Support promotional efforts for weddings and events

  • Help ensure a high level of guest satisfaction through proactive service and communication



General Resort Support




  • Collaborate with other departments including Food & Beverage, Transportation and Lodging

  • Assist other resort teams during peak periods as needed

  • Take on a variety of projects and responsibilities throughout the season
