Job Description

Fiber Sales Manager EMEA

Fiber Sales manager: Manage sales for all fiber products (SMF, MMF, Specialties) in EMEA. Maintain and build excellent relations with customers, typically Business and Technical Directors, Purchase Managers, Product (line) managers.  The Fiber Sales Manager will drive business growth and represent Prysmian as a key partner in the fiber optics market.

Responsibilities:

Account management

  • Manage accounts for main stream optical fiber products in EMEA

  • Build & maintain relations with counterparts at customer

  • Represent Prysmian at external customers

  • Implement and follow up on contracts

  • Contract negotiations

  • Prepare and manage costumer quotations

Business development

  • Identify and define new business opportunities within the fiber optics market

  • Develop and execute strategies to increase market share and revenue growth

  • Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging technologies

  • Collaborate with internal teams (R&D, Product Management, Marketing) to develop customer-centric solutions

  • Explore new customer segments and regions to expand Prysmian’s fiber footprint

Sales Forecasting

  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and actual performance reports

  • Provide reliable data as a reference for the Fiber Business Unit

Customer service team

  • Support CSC with all requests

  • Perform contract review with customer service

Quality

  • Claim coordination and respondent for customer claims

  • Working with responsible teams to resolve and close claims expeditiously

  • Support with preparation of 8D

Product Management & Technical Sales

  • The candidate shall develop a minimum technical understanding of all fiber products

  • The candidate shall be able to give a product presentation to customers

  • Represent Prysmian fiber at internal and external customers

  • Work closely with sales and R&D for product developments

  • Understand customer business and product requirements

  • Identify competitor product development and market strategy

  • Attend tradeshows to anticipate future directions of the industry

Minimum requirements:

  • BSc degree in Engineering, Economics, Business or Sales Administration or other Technical

  • 3 years commercial experience

Preferred:

  • 3-5 years experience within telecom industry or related.

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP)

  • Knowledge of all main stream types of optical fibers (or ability to learn)

  • Knowledge of sales processes

  • Excellent English (written and oral)

Skills

  • Excellent analytical and conceptual skills

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills

  • Firm standing, convincing attitude

  • Strong customer focus and relationship-building skills

  • Proven ability to negotiate and close deals effectively

  • able to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines

Estimated travel up to 40%

Job location will be in the Prysmian factory in Eindhoven, Netherlands.

When not traveling candidate is requested to be on site 70%.
