SUMMARY:
Keeps premises of office buildings, production areas, cafeterias and/or Campus buildings in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties:


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, stone surfaces, and trim.
Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas.
Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floor as assigned.
Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
Dusts furniture and other office equipment, cabinet tops, work stations as directed.
Polishes metalwork.
Washes walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
Empties wastebaskets, and empties and cleans ash urns.
Transports trash and waste to disposal areas.
Replenishes bathroom supplies.
In some instances may have to perform landscape clean up or maintenance of yard and shrubbery.
Transports small equipment or tools between departments.
Sets up tables and chairs in auditorium, conference rooms or cafés.
Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:
Must understand and be able to communicate in English.
Must have or be able to obtain a secret security clearance. (Nothing in background to cause denial of clearance.)
Must be able to operate janitorial equipment, such as tile floor high speed buffing machine, wall washing equipment, carpet cleaning tools, vacuum cleaners and associated attachments.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
