POSITION OVERVIEW 

The mechanic will be responsible for all phases of inspection, DCI, assembly and testing of assigned work on various turbines, compressors, pumps, and reciprocating equipment within the Wellsville service center.   

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

1. Ensure all work under your responsibility is done safely 


2. Responsible for the quality of the work that you are assigned, zero quality escapes 


3. Responsible for thorough documentation of as received, disassembly, assembly, and testing steps  

ACCOUNTABILITIES 

• Receive job assignments from product line lead person 


• Adherence to shop routers and processes is required 


• Set up and machine parts on lathes, mills, grinders, and other machine tools 


• Clean parts using brushes, parts cleaners, and shot blast 


• Measure parts using micrometers, calipers, and other pertinent measuring tools 


• Participate in repair path development 


• Assemble and test equipment 


• Operate fork trucks, cranes, and other parts movement equipment 


• Work from blueprints, manuals, and other written and verbal guidelines as needed
