DP World Brisbane is currently seeking a Reliability Superintendent to join our team based in Fisherman Island. Leading a small and dynamic team you will possess tenacity to persevere when solving problems which in turn generates fit for purpose solutions. As Reliability Superintendent you will contribute to meeting the short, medium and long term goals of the Fisherman Island Terminal, while gaining support and credibility from tradespeople, operators, management and wider team.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensuring safe work practices are employed at all times.
- Identify potential problem areas in equipment safety and reliability, devise remedies, modifications or improvements.
- Recommend, develop, and implement systems and procedures to improve efficiency of the mechanical maintenance across the terminal.
- Assist in the development of people through leadership and coaching to achieve effective outcomes.
- Actively promote and be involved with implementing the processes of change in continuous improvement.
- Maintain harmonious industrial relations by encouraging employee participation through a regular consultative framework.
- Compilation of, and compliance to, the maintenance budget for materials handling equipment.
- Advanced planning and priority management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and develop and motivate teams to ensure a strong customer service focus.
- Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement maintenance management techniques.
- Knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety and Environmental regulations and policies.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results and work effectively in a demanding environment.
- Demonstrated experience in computer based maintenance management systems Experience in maintenance management in a stevedoring, heavy industry or materials handling environment.
- Mechanical trades certificate with relevant post-trade qualifications.
- Tertiary qualification in a mechanical engineering discipline would be well regarded.
