Sr Strategic Account Sales Manager - Ferguson



Work Mode: Remote

Opportunity

With goal to be the #1 branded product solution across the Ferguson Enterprise, this role would be responsible for developing and driving execution of category level growth plans across brick and mortar, digital and project channels. This associate will establish strong relationships with internal and external category teams, analyzing and identifying assortment opportunities, omnichannel growth initiatives and establishing improvements for new product launches within the Ferguson Account to deliver sales and profit objectives.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Develop category level growth plans for Ferguson enterprise across all brick & mortar, digital and project channels with elevated focus on strategic categories and initiatives(Faucets, Vikrell, Toilets, Bathing & Kitchen Fixtures).
  • Collaborate and drive connectivity between Category Management, Product Teams and Supply Chain to develop intentional category assortments, strategic stocking strategies and unique fulfillment opportunities (drop ship, direct import, etc) to unlock incremental growth.
  • Own relationship with Ferguson Category Management Team to establish core assortments, uncover product gaps and target goal to offer complete bundled solution to displacement competitive brands.
  • Collaborate with Kohler Product Strategy & National Account Team to identify and execute category plans that support  Ferguson’s specific channel plans and unique capabilities.
  • Establish and conduct category review process for unlocking product assortment gaps, relevant promotional and pricing actions and collaboration across Kohler and Ferguson category teams. Focus on right product, right pricing and programming to support customer group strategies.
  • Optimize product launch process for key category launches, streamlining onboarding across Ferguson various customer channels, drive execution and stocking strategy to increase early adoption and improve vitality metrics.
  • Manage Ferguson exclusive product portfolio to align sales targets, associated forecast, execute growth plans and identify assortment expansion opportunities.
  • Aligning with internal and external Supply Chain Team to ensure connected forecast with product growth initiatives, new product launches and unique fulfillment solutions (dropship, direct import).
  • Partner with Ferguson Customer Group teams in alignment with Kohler Marketing and Sales to understand product representation in showrooms/counters and online to drive display productivity, supporting merchandising and bundle development for improved conversion. 
  • Support Customer Group strategy with key product analytics, process improvements and execution plan to meet or exceed sales and profitability objectives for the Ferguson account.
  • Leverage partnership and expertise to provide actionable insights for new product development regarding price point, features, design and forecast.
  • Regular market and headquarters visits to gain feedback and insights on product relevancy, price points, displacement opportunities and training/resource needs.
  • Develop and leverage a comprehensive understanding of market dynamics in each category within brick and mortar and online channels (product, pricing, competitive, promotional, placement, etc) to inform business decisions. Gain a heightened level of understanding of Ferguson’s profitability, price harmonization and own brand strategy in developing Kohler strategic plans.
  • Support alignment of category programming terms to support right profitability for focus product categories and associated growth targets.
  • Build internal relationships across multiple functions within sales, pricing, category strategy, customer service, marketing, and supply chain.
  • Work with FEI Category Management team to build out annual Supplier Agreement and Program changes, in close coordination and alignment with Director of Sales.



Skills/Requirements



  • Bachelor’s degree is required from a four-year college or university.
  • 5 to 7 years experience in analytics, sales and/or marketing preferred. Experience in the construction industry with knowledge of plumbing products is a plus.
  • Must possess strong written and oral communication with all levels of management and with outside contacts.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
  • Salesforce and/or CPQ experience is a plus.


Travel

  • Travel to customer meetings, in-market reviews, trade shows and manufacturing plants as needed, approximately 30%.

The salary range for this position is $128,950 - $200,550 plus a competitive half-yearly sales incentive bonus. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. This position may be eligible for an Area Salary Differential based on the location.
