Job Summary:
Mortgage CRA Loan Officer originates CRA residential mortgage loans to low-to-moderate income customers through outside sales efforts. This position establishes relationships with nonprofit housing groups, state and local housing offices, and community-based affordable housing organizations to generate and increase CRA mortgage opportunities within targeted areas. Responsibilities include qualifying customers, submitting applications, and facilitating essential communication between parties throughout the process.

- Promotes and increases mortgage loan volume, primarily focusing on CRA, low-to-moderate, and minority customers to generate residential mortgages.
- Establishes relationships with nonprofit housing groups, state and local housing offices, and community based affordable housing organizations to generate and increase CRA mortgage opportunities within targeted geographic markets
- Guide clients through mortgage loan options by advises customers on the mortgage loans that are appropriate for their individual financial circumstances.
- Partners with various down payment assistance programs within the state as well as city and county.
- Represents the bank at educational seminars, workshops, and housing programs with state and local, and non-profit housing organizations.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with industry-specific centers of influences such as real estate agents, builders, and contractors.
- Researches and complies with all appropriate bank policies and lending regulatory guidelines.
- Analyzes complex financial data.
- Ensures compliance with privacy laws and confidentiality policies throughout the loan process.
