About the Opportunity
Within Driscoll’s, the Nursery is responsible for the production and supply of plant material to our growers. At our own nursery in Helenaveen, we produce over 40 million plants annually across 18 different sites, supplying our grower network throughout Europe and Africa.To ensure we deliver high-quality plants on time and in the right volumes, access to accurate and reliable data is essential. As a Nursery Intern, you will play a key role in this process.
Responsibilities
As an intern, you will support the Nursery team with data collection, analysis, and reporting. You will contribute to improving our processes and help drive the transition toward a data- and technology-driven organization.
Your responsibilities include:
Collecting cultivation data and maintaining performance dashboards
Analyzing propagation (production) results
Forecasting production output
Creating daily and weekly performance reports
Designing new dashboards and performance metrics
Aligning with the Nursery team on current and future data needs
Providing recommendations to improve data collection and reporting, including the use of AI
Supporting the rollout of performance metrics across the European Nursery organization
Candidate Profile
You are an enthusiastic and analytical student with an interest in data, technology, and horticultural processes.
Additionally:
- You are pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in horticulture, supply chain, business administration, or a related field
- You are in your 3rd or 4th year
- You have strong communication skills and are a team player
- You have a hands-on mindset and strong analytical skills
- You have an interest in data, technology, and production processes
- You are fluent in English, both written and spoken
- You have a valid driver’s license and your own transportation
