2026-2027 School Year Additional Information: Show/Hide - Assist in implementation of federal law and Ohio rules for educating students with disabilities.
- Provide services and accommodations to students identified with a disability.
- Develop IEPs for students identified with a disability, coordinating with public school personnel.
- Implement strategies to accomplish individualized program goals.
- Demonstrate a knowledge of subject matter and present clear, complete and accurate lessons which include a variety of instructional techniques and media suitable to the level of learners.
- Document progress data for individual student IEPs.
- Prepare progress reports for IEPs quarterly, keeping individual records for all special education students.
- Evaluate test scores to monitor progress of students.
- Assist in scheduling IEP meetings.
- Attend IAT and IEP meetings as required.
- Consult with regular education teachers providing alternative teaching techniques and assessments to best enhance student learning.
- Work with regular education teachers co-teaching in an inclusive classroom as needed.
- Consult with regular education teachers concerning placement of potential students.
- Provide RTI services for students with suspected disabilities.
- Maintain respect at all times for confidential information, e.g, student IEPs, testing information, student and staff information.
- Facilitate communication with families and staff.
- Represent the school at activities/committees as agreed to.
- Maintain and improve professional competence by attending professional seminars and workshops, etc. to keep current on relevant issues.
- Support the school, enforce school rules and policies.

Intervention Specialist for the 2026-2027 school year. Immaculate Heart of Mary School is accepting applications for full-time licensed intervention specialists.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree (B.A or B.S) or equivalent from a four-year college or university- State of Ohio Intervention Specialist license required. Valid Ohio teaching license, BCI/FBI background checks and Virtus training are required. Candidates must comply with all school, state and Diocesan requirements.
