Responsibilities:

• Will have the task of meeting the speech therapy needs of ESH’s community which may include inpatient, outpatient, swing bed, and pediatric patients.
• Responsible for the care, safety, and wellbeing of patients during treatment sessions.
• Demonstrate the ability to evaluate and develop plans of care for patients establishing goals of treatment and plan for discharge; taking into consideration the patients’ needs and limitations. 
• Consults with attending physician concerning the patient’s needs and limitations, goals, plan of care, progress, and discharge plans.
• Perform daily documentation of each patient’s progress and challenges.
• Maintains department records properly and completes them correctly.
• Provide patients and caregivers with educational material as appropriate.
• Perform monthly comprehensive summaries and weekly goal updates on each patient.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• Speech Language Pathology license required. 
• Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association or preapproved provider.
