TEAM is designed around five professional growth modules in order to provide a framework for support of new teachers. These five modules are focused on the domains of the Common Core of Teaching (CCT):
Experienced teachers wishing to be trained for the first time as TEAM Mentors or Cooperating teacher to a student teacher must complete the full application and supporting documents.Mentor compensation according to CT State Statute and the TEA Collective Bargaining Agreement. Teachers working as cooperating teachers for a student teacher are compensated directly by the university in the amount specified by the university, only.
Teachers selected need to attend all days of in-person training, and complete additional synchronous work to successfully complete the New Mentor Training.
