Job Description

Position Summary

The Business Systems Analyst I is responsible for maintaining and supporting Chemico’s ERP, inventory management systems, and other supporting systems. They are also responsible for developing appropriate and efficient solutions for the operations, accounting, and supply chain departments and are expected to coordinate between all departments.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Sage 100 (or other ERP) troubleshooting and training for all company departments
  • Flowtrac inventory management system troubleshooting
  • Flowtrac inventory management system administration
  • Create, edit, and present reports using Crystal Reports
  • Analyze current business process and make recommendations for improvements based in industry trends, technology trends, and business knowledge
  • Develop process solutions that solve relevant problems, streamlines workflow for all departments, and meets customer requirements
  • Assist with new program setup in ERP and inventory management system
  • Maintain an understanding of diverse and customer specific process flows
  • Act as liaison between various business departments to translate business needs
  • Perform other duties and assignments as required

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Sage 100 ERP software (or other ERP) experience preferred
  • Two years of related experience
  • Skilled with Microsoft Excel
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and internet
  • Ability to learn new software quickly
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Understanding of currency exchange rates
  • Understanding of chemical management and chemical distribution
  • Works effectively and maintains good working relationships with all levels of management, customers, suppliers, and company personnel
  • Successfully manage and prioritize a large volume of work
  • Demonstrates strong analytical skills
  • Possesses strong problem identification and resolution skills and cooperates with all internal customers
  • Is attentive to detail, focused, thorough, and accurate
  • Demonstrates flexibility and works well on teams
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to perform standard math computations including unit of measure conversions
  • Ability to manipulate necessary office equipment, computers, and peripherals
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and exposure to computer screens as well as use of telephone
  • Some travel may be required
  • Bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred
  • Basic understanding of chemistry preferred
