Job Description
This position is year-round, part-time, working 4 hours per day, 7:00-11:00am, and available in May 2026. Responsible for completing work tasks that ensure a clean, safe, and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors, at Hanover Senior High School. $13.52 per hour minimum. Starting rate based on experience and internal equity.
Qualifications
One (1) year of experience in custodian work preferred
High School Diploma or equivalent
Knowledge and understanding of various cleaning chemicals is necessary
Must possess a valid driver's license
Physical Demands
Ability to reach above and below the waist
Ability to use fingers to pick, feel and grasp objects
Ability to use both hands for repetitive motion
Ability to bend, twist, kneel, stoop, climb and crawl
Ability to lift/carry supplies weighing 25 lbs. or more
Ability to stand or walk over eighty percent (80%) of workday
Work Environment
Ability to work in an external environment subject to temperatures below 32 degrees or above 100 degrees
Subject to outside environmental conditions
May be exposed to hazardous materials
Cognitive Ability
Ability to follow written and verbal directions
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
Ability to organize and handle multiple tasks
