Position: Per Diem Nurse Technician 

Department: Nursing Pool

Shift: Various Available  

‍PURPOSE

• The role of the nurse tech is that of the PCA but expanded to include critical thinking, delegation, communication, and relationships with the health care team
• The role of the nurse is that of a mentor. The nurse will seek out the nurse tech when doing treatments or any procedure that would benefit the nurse tech to observe. Serves as a resource for the nurse tech to answer questions
• The role of the OD department is to provide the classroom orientation
• The role of the unit manager is to interview, manage, monitor, schedule

QUALIFICATIONS

• BSN Program-Must have completed the physical assessment course
• ADN and Diploma- Must have completed the physical assessment course
• Complete interview process with unit director
• Letter from school verifying the Physical Assessment course has been successfully completed
